Poundbury has been home to the Dorset Food and Arts Festival since 2012. Like the festival itself, the town has been growing and flourishing.
The last year saw further momentous changes to Poundbury, most notably to the festival site of Queen Mother Square. In 2016, Her Majesty The Queen officially unveiled Queen Mother Square and raised Poundbury’s profile to new heights.
Hundreds of people turned out with flags to watch The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh accompany their son The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall on their visit. The Queen also unveiled a statue of her late mother that takes pride of place in the centre of Queen Mother Square.
Another new addition is the impressive Hall & Woodhouse owned The Duchess of Cornwall Inn. The bar, restaurant and hotel was opened by the Duchess of Cornwall herself.
So, what better way to celebrate these new developments than by entering foodie heaven at the seventh Dorset Food and Arts Festival this August.
Once again, Queen Mother Square will be transformed into a one-day festival drawing crowds from near and far.
